Sanding, priming, lighting ... I think that we've agreed on the third fixture that I've mounted ... whew.
The light isn't as bright, of course, as the prior 4' + 3' fluorescent fixtures. It's only three bulbs. As a result, there are shadows now that didn't appear before. A poor drywall joint job stands out -- not mine, the original horizontal joint that was completely hidden by one of the mirrors before. Until I took down the old fixture it wasn't even visible.
The new mirror will cover half the area. I may run some mud along that joint this morning and try to eliminate the visible line. I'm not in so much of a rush that I need to compromise at this point. After all, I reinstalled the toilet tank yesterday so the bathroom is functional.
Sandy picked up paint for the trim and walls. We need to get the mirror cut and I'll make a frame for that. I have to buy the trim and baseboard. Sandy will arrange to get the mirror cut and then the rest of the project is all mine.
I didn't even go to the gym yesterday, not wanting to brave the cold. This morning it's 46F, going up to 77F -- what ??? Tomorrow it's supposed to hit 80F ... double-what ??? Ok, I'll take that !
We had tilefish and mahi-mahi for dinner last night. The former for Sandy, the latter for me. The latter was good, the former not as much. They were accompanied by potatoes and Sandy's sauteed carrots & leeks. Today, Valentine's day, who knows ?
Onward.
