Feb 19 - painting & tiling

The former took longer than the latter.

I gave the loft railing another coat of paint, which takes quite some time, continued on with that paint to the side of the vanity in the bathroom (now finished) and the mirror frame. I expect that the railing and posts are going to need another two coats, which will make four. I could probably stop after one more ... we'll see.

I have yet to hang the mirror, waiting for some proper glue for a piece of plywood to be attached to the back for hangers. What I have won't work (says "not mirrors" in the instructions which I actually read).

I applied the small glass tiles to the backsplash for the bathroom vanity and later in the day grouted same. Neither of us are really happy with the look, far too busy. If we get unhappy enough and Sandy finds something else, I'll remove them and replace with something else.

Left to do in the bathroom -- caulk along baseboard, hang mirror, hang toilet roll holder and towel holders ... the towel holders will wait until Sandy comes to some conclusion vis-a-vis the pictures that she's putting on the long wall.

The bathroom busy little project is almost complete.

What else ? Not much. It was incredibly windy, coming from the west. We went over to the club for dinner and had to find a place where our food wasn't being blown away. The good news is that there weren't any no-see-ums !

Today ... off to the southwest coast, Cape Coral, to visit Jason et al. Kim, Mike and Jill will be there as well. We'll be back sometime tomorrow. It looks to be a 4.5 hour drive.
