Well, the ride into that 20+ mph cross-wind WNW was not exactly passive ! My new route up to Flagler Beach, adding 8 miles, is great EXCEPT into the wind !
I've also done a few things that are less strenuous, like:
-- cook a ham for my lunches (definitely passive !)
-- visit Gene next door to see how he's doing
-- prepare a double batch of hummus
-- have a call with Susan and Randy, going over roads board projects
We had another kind of snapper last night -- so-called (according to Sandy) -- Mutton Snapper. There was nothing sheep-like about it though. It was accompanied by some leftovers and some non-leftovers :).
Today, I was thinking about riding again, but I guess that I'll leave that for Thursday ... perhaps. It looks like we'll have Hamid and Shab here Thursday night and then Friday a.m. Hamid and I will head north; Shab will go to Gainesville.
Tomorrow I have a variety of annual appointments in Orlando, notably Keller (GP) and Gundian (Urologist). I have my blood & urine test results back from Keller to discuss. Amazingly enough my total cholesterol is now down under 200 (199), with LDL under 100 -- all good. Usually my LDL (bad cholesterol) is ok and offset by my HDL but total well over 200. There were a couple of other things slightly out of range, but then they've always been so, including BUN, which indicates that I was a little dehydrated at the time ... I wonder why ? Mercury is still sitting where it did last time. PSA is still at 0.4, which will make Gundian (and therefore me) happy.
I've got to leave in a few minutes for a workout with John ...
Onward !
