Nov 30 - southward

The wind was from the south again, at 15-25 mph, no noticeable E component, so I just rode US 1.  I explored the new addition to the bike path through Mims, which is still being constructed.  They're adding several miles; not sure where it will end up.

Sandy, meanwhile, cleaned house.  With dust from head to toe (the house), due to the outside construction, it needed a complete vacuum-down.

We ate at the SYC, seemingly becoming part of the "usual Wednesday" crowd.

Before heading out on the bike, Dwayne came over and updated his quote on painting the outside of the house.  Ugh.  We really need to go to the elastomer coating and the coverage from that is only 80 square feet.  If you do the math, you can imagine that this is becoming a major expense.

And ... just before I rode off into the sunset, the roofing guy called.  Their quote is right in line with that provided by the insurance company, so we will go ahead.  Insurance will cover about half the cost.  Metal is triple the cost; we'll pass on that.  I can buy a car with less than it would cost to put metal on the roof.

And ... while I was riding, I got a return call from the soffit guy, who's booked up about six months.  So ... I'll chase down a couple of other options.  I need to coordinate all this with the gutter people as well, since they'll be removed for either the roof or soffit/fascia work and I don't want to go forever without gutters.  With Sandy wanting to reverse the house color scheme, it all needs changing anyway.

Outflow is definitely more than inflow !

Onward !
