The Answer, My Friend ... oh never mind. If you don't recognize that song, you're too young !
I certainly was blowin' in the wind yesterday. From the SE, it was blowing so hard and I was so tired by the time I got to Titusville that it was hard to even enjoy the trip back. My average speed southbound was barely over 11mph.
I was fully expecting to get wet but the rains never hit me. Today looks like something else, however, but since I won't be riding, I don't care as much.
I hung Sandy's new wall ornament outside which was a real pain. Hopefully it won't blow down. It's a 3' diameter sun of sorts that she ordered on the internet. It's now hanging on the wall over the used-to-be-door-and-now-a-window to our bedroom, a nice decoration for our travertine deck / patio / whatever-you-call-it.
It's Lent again and I'm continuing the morning routine that I started last year (and continued even after Lent) -- going to morning Mass. The numbers drop off a little after Lent to a couple of dozen people and swell to 1.5-2x that during Lent. It's an easy routine -- up early and to the gym (some days), get Cassie up around 6am, feed her and me, leave here at 6:50 a.m. and back at 7:40 a.m. Sometimes I make a grocery or Home Depot trip afterwards before coming home since traffic is light. Why ? Well, it is easy to do and I have a lot to be thankful for and I don't know if a lifetime of this routine will ever make up for my failings :). Just ask my kids !
It struck me a couple of weeks ago that I see mostly the same people there every day and I don't know any names. I'd feel silly walking around and introducing myself and besides, I wouldn't remember names anyway.
