Oct 1 - it's a wrap

The gazebo, that is, all wrapped up and lit up.  Summer is officially over.

David and Vanda gave me a hand; it went quickly.  Having three docks helps immensely; Jason's tied across the front of the gazebo means that I don't have to juggle things as I move around hanging tarps and lights and ratchet tie-downs.

David and Vanda carried up the other two Muskoka chairs leaving one lone aluminum web chair at the beach.  They headed out before 5pm.  Sandy and I kibitzed at the Davies while Jason and Kyle made dinner.  It's the first time that we've actually talked to Leslie, Kyle's girlfriend.

Back at our ranch we had leftover turkey & mashed potatoes (Sandy), turnip, some sauteed zucchini and eggplant (me).  Kyle and Leslie were heading out after dinner; Jason, Lorraine and Chili this morning.  They head to China in a week; we'll see them in Florida after we get back from Australia.  Whew !

I've still got a few major chores including putting the Whaler away, picking up wine in Parry Sound and maybe, just maybe, taking returns into the LCBO in Port Loring, but we haven't heard from them yet.

Of course we also have to pack ... we leave early Wednesday for Toronto (Sandy's hair appointment), dinner with Joyce, overnight in Burlington and then southward bound.

Onward !
