March 13 -- out for the day

With Jason et al still in Orlando, I decided to go for a longer ride and hit 100 miles. With the wind from the SSE at 10 mph, I headed south, turning around at the 50 mile point. It was warm -- close to or above 80 -- and humid. The wind shifted somewhat as I rode home so I ended up having a headwind (mostly) both ways with little relief. I was really counting on sailing home ... but it didn't happen.

We met with Vic the kitchen guy before I left -- it looks like we are going to work with him. He is cheaper and better than the first guy and the second one has not even submitted his quote yet. Sandy will go and look at granite next Monday.

Otherwise, nothing else to report ...

Nutrition -- 4 bottles of water and 1 large gatorade; 3 gels; some liquified carb-boom (I'm giving up on this stuff); bag of pretzels.

Ride stats -- 100.1 miles; 16.9 mph avg.
