We are back up north, our travelling is over for a day or so.
On April 2nd, after a little bit of getting organized, I set out to follow the route that Linda had picked out for a bike ride. I had no idea what I was getting into -- hills, wind, dogs nipping at my feet -- this was rural riding at its best ! What a lovely area !
Being rural south, the homes ranged from trailers to mansions and everything in between. There was virtually no traffic, so I could really enjoy the ride and not just concentrate on the road 30 feet ahead of me. The variety was endless -- a far cry from the boring rides on US 1 in Florida.
The climbing was also just what I was looking for. There was nothing overly steep or long, rather a steady workout. I finished the first 38 mile circuit in a little over 2.5 hours so I did the circuit again.
Meanwhile, Linda and Sandy toured and lunched. I have no more details !
Today's drive was entertaining at first. We drove through some more rural south, West Virginia style, as we cut back over to I79 to continue our journey north. The rest of the drive was uneventful -- in other words, great.
We did not find any issues here at our "northern home". The house has wintered well. My PC is acting up, not booting up properly, but I'll figure that out tomorrow.
