I got the Boston Whaler into the water -- no problems with that. It's interesting that the launch slope is steep enough at the ESS Narrows so that when I backed the trailer down to where I would have backed it in New Smyrna Beach (car rear wheels at the water) the boat floated free. That's why I had such a hard time getting it aligned on the trailer when I pulled it out in the fall.
Sandy was originally going to go into Sudbury today for grocery shopping but delayed to decide what she wanted in a closet organizer. She'll go tomorrow and order at Home Depot -- she was told that delivery takes one month -- they won't take orders over the telephone. I was originally going to do the same thing on my side of the closet but the stuff is a little pricey so I'll wait until we get her side done before deciding.
I went for a short bike ride -- to Highway 69, 36 mile round trip. It took about 20 miles for my legs to warm up. I'll go for a longer ride tomorrow. It is still the best form of regular exercise that I can do.
I also went into town -- to pick up and send mail and to get some water filters. The garden pump in the shed is not reaching shutoff pressure and I thought that it was simply a clogged filter -- turns out that even with the new filter it doesn't fully reach shutoff pressure -- close but not quite. I expect that I have to replace the tank which is likely clogged from so many years of lake water and maybe the pump. I have to also replace the water line up to the garden -- it was broken with all the construction two years ago and we've used hoses ever since. I'll do some more diagnostic work on that on Tuesday before I go into Home Depot later in the week.
While I was in town Sandy went over to Jimmy & Bonnie's to pick up the mail that they were saving for us. I went over as well once I was back from town.
Abby was bouncing all over when we got back -- she does not like being left alone; she gets anxious.
