The shuttle launch scheduled for 5:40 a.m. was scrubbed so Sandy doesn't have to get up quite as early.
Yesterday ... we just generally let our bodies get caught up with our travels.
I ...
1) pulled some of the vines that had grown on the palms at the back;
2) cleaned my bike from its ordeal;
3) went to the auto store to pickup oil and filter for the X5 (I'll change the oil before we leave);
4) wrote that never-ending blog that was my "short account" of the 1200k ride;
5) picked up some diet coke and ice cream bars at the grocery store;
6) went to Home Depot to look at electric lawn mowers (they only had one);
7) made some minor repairs to the sprinkler setup that was producing a fountain;
8) etc. etc. ... you get the idea
Sandy ...
1) went grocery shopping
2) puttered in the garden
3) did some reading
4) took Abby to the beach
5) etc. etc.
Ah yes, we had tuna for dinner. We've missed being able to have fresh tuna. Pickerel is great, but tuna is tuna.
We watched a little Stargate SG1 ... I didn't bring down a satellite receiver with us so no TV per se. Sandy was going to rent a movie but forgot and then went to bed early in case she had to get up at 5:15 a.m. As it is she'll be getting up early -- in about 10 minutes -- because I'm taking the X5 over to Tire Kingdom to get the new tires installed. Sandy will follow me with the other car and we'll leave the X5 there.
Sandy has a facial appointment today way over in Ormond Beach and will take the car, leaving me car-less. I may or may not ride my bike over to pickup the X5 ... I'm guessing likely not, since it will be later today and very hot. I'm planning on riding tomorrow, that's good enough.
That's it ...
