It was stopped all day yesterday, well other than a brief sprinkle when of course I was out fishing.
There was green stuff all around on the doppler so I opted not to go biking, which ended up being a mistake, I think. It might have been the best day -- but time will tell. I did some weed-eating in the morning and some other, I-forget-what things around the house, before heading down to Parry Sound early afternoon to pick up the cases of wine awaiting me there. This time I checked by telephone that they were in before making the trip.
I stopped at Home Depot and returned some stuff -- a case of ceiling tiles, some suspended ceiling lag screws, two 6" ceiling vents and a dozen 2' suspended ceiling crossers. I completely forgot that I was going to look at 1x8 wood to trim out the windows -- only remembered that this morning. After going to the LCBO I stopped at Sobeys and picked up a few groceries. In particular I wanted to find some raisin bran cereal that didn't give me my day's allotment of sodium at breakfast. I found some -- Sobeys' private brand -- with 1/3 of the sodium of Kelloggs. Guess what ? It tastes ok.
Bob Sims had dropped over as I was finishing up weed eating and mentioned that he's been catching crappy across from Smiths Bay landing. I need some minnows though -- I went over there for a little while with artificial bait and didn't have patience for that. I can sit for a couple of hours and contemplate the wilderness with live bait, knowing that if a fish chances by that it will be interested, but do not have the same faith in artificial bait ... nor do I particularly like casting and catching weeds.
This morning we had a mess outside. I still don't know where the garbage can is. Clearly a bear, the garbage worked its way up the hill and into the bush. He bent the heck out of the peanut feeder, leaving that up by the driveway. I guess that garbage has to go in the garage from this point forward.
That's it ...
