First things first -- I did some more work on the batty spots, checking existing cotton batten and adding more screen where it looked like they're still able to get in and out. I'll check outside shortly to see if that is having any effect but of course will not really know for a couple of days because it takes a couple of days with the cotton not being disturbed before I am sure that the bats have moved their lodgings elsewhere.
Next ... go for a bike ride. It was sunny and warm, unusual for this year, so I took full advantage. A strong southwest wind kept me working until the turnaround point, but worriedly was easing up just before I turned around. What timing ... the headwind built as I rode back to 522 since the wind was shifting from southwest to northwest. I did get full benefit of the "west" in northwest on the ride back along 522. Wildlife ? -- a pair of otters playing in one of the ponds along 69. No wolves, coyotes, bears, deer, moose ... but there were a few chipmunks.
Next ... hook up the trailer. Since the car was already running, I backed it into the barn and hooked up the trailer. I have to go up there shortly and finish hooking it up -- trailer lights, chains, put tie-downs etc. in the trailer. It's raining now so I'm quite happy that the trailer and car are in the barn.
Next ... eat dinner. Sandy brought tuna from Sudbury -- what a treat.
Next ... go fishing. A quiet night on the water, I only caught three crappie although I hooked a couple more and at one point had something much larger on that got away. I'm using very small snelled hooks and that something larger could have been a pike or pickerel. I need to catch some more minnows.
Next ... well, other than cleaning the fish and watching a little TV there was no next.
Today ... shortly ... we're off for Toronto to pick up Kylie and her friend, some plywood etc. from Home Depot and the new fridge that is awaiting pickup. The fridge will sit in the trailer until I have help to get it into the house and down to the basement.
Hooked and ready ? The trailer, not the crappie.
That's it.
