Putter, putter, putter. That's what working on this woodbox is all about. Anyway, I got the miter saw up to the garage, under the garage door partly open, so that I could do my cutting and not be affected by the occasional sprinkle. I finished up any 2x4 work ... well, almost, I have a couple of 4-6 inch pieces to put in at the top of one side so that the angled-cut siding pieces at the top have something to which they can be nailed. I put siding on one side of the woodbox and then needed the table saw but it was close to Mass time, so I called it a day. I'll be going out shortly to get at it again and then go for a bike ride later today.
Once I had the 2x4's all in place, I re-piled the wood that was all piled up on the rock. That made it easier to get around the woodbox for the balance of the project.
That was about it for yesterday. It doesn't seem like much but the day went by. We got together with Jason & Lorraine after I got back from Mass, had a glass of wine (three of us) a beer (Jason) and good conversation. Gavin was due back last night so by now there will be three of them.
We had catfish for supper, done in a spicy marinade that was quite good. Zucchini and sweet potato fries completed the picture.
It's a gray day today, low 50's, but supposed to get warmer as the day goes on. I'm counting on that for my bike ride -- that, and an absence of precipitation !
That's it.
