Aug 4 - forced change of plans

... that happened at the end of the day ... and not for me ...

Most of the day went according to plan. I set the minnow traps. I went for a bike ride. I got minnows from the minnow traps -- resetting them for the night.

------

I decided to finish this after David and I went out fishing this morning. We got four "keeper" bass. They are now in the fridge. It's so much easier to clean fish in the morning -- on the dock, with a ready source of water; fewer fish; in the sun.

Back to yesterday ... or is that back to the future ?

Sara's flight to Toronto was canceled last night so she had to arrange to get back home since a co-worker had dropped her off. They re-booked her on a 6am flight today, but that was way too early to get there from Reading PA, so Jeffrey changed her flight to one that left after 9am. She got to the airport this morning to find that she'd been bumped but Jeffrey was already on the way to Toronto. Jeffrey got on the phone to them and, giving them the locator number and pre-booked seat number, insisted that she be on the flight -- and she is. What does the future hold for this trip ? Who knows -- once something goes wrong with air travel it tends to snowball.

We had spaghetti for dinner last night -- meat and meatless that Sandy had made -- and it was excellent. We ate it all. I saw a little bit in the fridge this a.m. but I think that's Stef's leftovers. Tonight we're supposed to have deep fried chicken wings. I'm going to take a pass on fishing tonight. I didn't finish cleaning last night until after 11pm -- 6 catfish and a mess of crappie. The girls -- Meagan and Keri -- had a blast again. Lauren wanted to come but that is too many little kids in a small boat. We'll probably take Meagan and Lauren out on Friday night. Time will tell -- oh, we'll have a bunch of people here then since Sheryl and Wayne will be here -- somehow this will work out.

So far today looks like it's going to be a nice day. I'll take the kids to "ice cream island" today (Lost Channel) for, what else, ice cream.

That's it. No, that's not anywhere near it, but that's all that I'm going to type !
