Jan 10 - learning to type

Have you ever used one of these Microsoft "natural" keyboards, as I think that they're called. It took some getting used to ... and I'm not quite there yet ... but I'm back to typing without looking at my hands. I've been using Sue's keyboard and it takes some focus to manage this keyboard. I'm not used to my hands being so widely spaced and have to look down to place my hands in the correct position at first.

Don went to work in the morning, as planned. I went to Mass at 11 a.m., as planned. I went to the Safeway afterwards to pickup cereal and milk, as planned. Finally, as planned, Don and I arrived back at the house in synch at 12:30 p.m. Next came lunch and then a relaxing afternoon.

Abby and Yuki are getting along very well. They are playing like Abby and Mya, but less rambunctious. This morning, Sean's dog Mo-Mo (sp?) has arrived and she's whining upstairs. She's a Bassett hound, I'm guessing, or some such breed. I don't know my dog breeds very well. It looks like I missed Don this morning -- he took Yuki for a walk and has been back and gone before I realized that he was upstairs (I'm in the basement right now).

Late in the afternoon Rose (Sue's sister) and Sue's mom arrived. A little while later Sue's son Sean came in. His wife Michele is away for the weekend so that was the full complement for dinner. The ladies talked most of the evening about "old times" in Hemmingford -- what they did, what happened to this and that person, you know. Don asked me some questions so that I could fill in gaps, but of course I could only do so when it came to immediate family, i.e. Sheryl and Wayne.

Don did the cooking again ... if we're still here tonight then that will be Sue's job. Hopefully, no offence intended, we'll be back on the road. We had a baked brocolli and cauliflower dish, a rice dish and chicken with mushroom. It was all very good -- I have to hand it to Don, working from a recipe book. My cooking would be much simpler if I was tasked with such.

Mo-Mo is making a lot of noise upstairs. I should probably check on her. She's likely agitated because of the presence of Abby. She's used to being here during the day when Sean drops her off, but add a third dog and things get exciting.

I'll be leaving here at 7am to to to BMW of Saskatoon. There's only one dealership. It's like being in Daytona. The difference is probably that these people are nice to deal with and competent. That would be refreshing on both counts.

Onward ... we hope.
