Well, that would be six with Abby of course.
David, Kim and Meagan arrived around 4:15 yesterday. We had a relaxing evening, eating shrimp, rice and stir-fry peppers around 7:30. Abby was happy to have more company, bored with just the two of us and being in a place with no chipmunks to chase.
Other activities during the day were varied -- cleaning, shopping, going to the bank, going to Home Depot ... you know, everyday life. The Home Depot trip was on the noisy bike; I went to get another garage door opener, this one for said bike. It was a pain to get off the bike to close/open the door .... aren't we lazy ? Perhaps I should get one for my bicycle ?
It was quite windy; I was happy that I'd done my cycle ride the day before. With predicted winds at 30 mph, I was buffeted on the Harley, can't imagine what it would have been like on the bicycle. Later on we had a tornado warning but nothing transpired close to us anyway. Thank goodness for that !
David & Kim did extraordinarily well with their hotel and car accommodations in Orlando. Their hotel was < $40 per day and the car -- a Toyota Camry -- was < $100 for the week ! At that price, I told him, you should tell them that you'll keep it indefinitely since you couldn't lease an unlimited mileage car for $5200 per year. What a deal !!! Not only that, it's a 2010 car with that new car smell. What a deal !!!
It rained heavily before and after dinner and was supposed to carry on into this morning but those storms have moved off to the ocean. If everyone gets going in time we'll probably take advantage of the weather and go boating. The winds are still reasonably strong but from the WSW so they shouldn't bother us in the Intracoastal waterway. If anything it should be calm out in the ocean since the winds are predominantly from the west.
That's about it, no pointless blathering today :).
Onward !
