Oct 11 - more of the same

The weather has been amazing. Oct 11, car sitting at the ESS Narrows landing while I'm biking, car thermometer reads 83F. It dropped into the high 70's once I started home, but still ...

I had a great bike ride. Shorts and short sleeves weather is not expected this time of year. Later this week is more typical -- cool and rain. It must be time for duck hunting ! Yes, Alex is coming tomorrow and we'll be getting wet. Too wet and we'll simply watch movies, play pool ... whatever. It was a lot better when David and I went out.

Time is going to go quickly from this point since Alex leaves Monday and we leave Wednesday ... yikes. I'll do some bike stuff organizing this morning, as much to clean up my work room as anything else. I'll get Alex to help me with wrapping the gazebo.

In other news ... nothing. Joyce and and her boss are coming today, just for the day, because he wants to see a post & beam house. He's considering building one. It seems like a long day for them but then again, we go to Toronto for the day.

We had a last drink with Jason and Lorraine late in the day, since they are leaving this morning and we won't see them again this cottage season. They plan on coming up after we leave, for a few days, at which point they'll close up. We'll be back at Christmas of course, and we're going to see if we can reprise our get together of last year with the Thompsons, Davies and Dwyers ... but that's not "cottage season" per se.

We sat out side, shorts and short sleeves (well, at least Jason and I) until after dark. Did I say amazing weather ?

What else ? I guess that's it.
