Oct 26 - progress, maybe

There are some areas where progress is definite:

-- the satellite dish is now properly aimed ... whew.
-- some routine things have been taken care of -- made bread, ate dinner here, all the usual "living" stuff
-- some unpacking has been completed, but there's still a bin of tools to be put away and bags are not completely unpacked
-- I've taken care of some bills but others still need to be addressed
-- the computer is running, stuff copied over to one of the new disks, but that has not been without incident, leaving me unsure as to file integrity

Sandy went over to the Saxon house yesterday and we've been burgled ! The strange thing though, is that we're missing odd stuff -- a curtain rod, some hooks from a board in the closet re-finish and one of the new closet stand-up units. This is really weird. Anyway, I'm going to change the front door lock today, I think.

We've made arrangements to get our furniture out of there next Wednesday, but these thefts are odd things, things that wouldn't come with us anyway. There's a realtor lock-box hanging on the door knob (or at least there was) so the key is accessible to anyone who can open that. Lisa is the only other one known to have a key. The garage is dead-bolted, so there's no entry that way. It's kind of creepy, in a way. This is stuff that no-one is going to call the policy over, or submit a claim.

I got out for a bike ride yesterday, that was great. I have a few more days in which to do a 200k for this month but Saturday is looking like the day.

Onward ...
