Whew, we ended the day with an eat-a-thon but before that we had a busy day.
David and I moved the three large rocks down to the rock wall. Actually that was mostly David. We then got out the skeet thrower and we went through an entire box of skeet. David, Gavin, Kim Davies did most of the shooting; I took a few shots; Jason took a couple; Kim Thompson took two shots and even Megan, with help, had a shot. It was a noisy place.
David decided that he was going to water ski, so we did that and then took the boat down to the landing. It's now in the barn, bottom end oil drained, awaiting a re-fill and finish up. It will then be tucked away for the winter, not likely to come out until about July 1 next year, battery on charge in the basement.
Dinner started a little after 5pm with mussels and didn't end until 10pm. The turkey took longer than expected, so that stretched things out a little bit. We did Facetime with Jeffrey, but that was crazy with so much background noise here. White wine, red wine, beer, two kinds of ice wine ... we drank well. Mussels, fresh bread, turkey, green beans, mashed potatoes, turnip, coleslaw, dressing ... cheery pie, pumpkin pie ... I'm still stuffed.
Today doesn't have an agenda yet. I hear David up, we're about to go hunting.
Onward !
