Sep 30 - emotional exchanges

We tried to finish any notifications over the last 24 hours, talking live to Bonnie & Jim, who'd just returned, exchanging emails with Sue, Nancy, Paula, Molly, Alnasir, Bev ... there may be more that we've forgotten.

Sandy watched a slideshow of all Jeffrey's pictures of Alexander; I couldn't watch the whole thing. I will get to it, however. Since Jeffrey didn't have the pictures that I took in July, I organized those and uploaded them in the wee hours this a.m., since I cannot do that during the day without getting FAP'ped.

To keep active, I did some more work on the rock wall. Unfortunately it doesn't occupy your mind. It does, however, make you physically tired so that you can sleep - but even then sleep is fitful.

It was cold this morning, about 2C / 36F. I'm burning the last of the hemlock that was cut and split three years ago .. just before cutting and splitting the dead one that is by the barn. Jim is going to come and help me with that on Monday.

Otherwise ... not much. We did enjoy the perch for dinner last night and I just had a sandwich with the leftovers, since we don't eat an entire pound at a sitting. If we do this again, i.e. get perch from Carol, we'll see if he can package at 3/4 pound, give or take. That's more like what we eat for dinner. Having said that, perch with dijon mustard in a sandwich is excellent !

What else ... it's been really windy yesterday and today. If the waves were any larger I'd be able to surf ! Well, that's an exaggeration. Yesterday I poured concrete in a light drizzle; today it's bright and sunny. It's only 41F out now; I'd think about going for a bike ride except that I have Mass at 4pm in Port Loring. Today and next Saturday are the last days for this year.

That's it ...

Onward.
