Yes, it was a leisurely day. We took all day to get up, have breakfast, drive a hundred miles, visit the doctor, have dinner, watch TV ...
It was actually more than a hundred miles, but not a lot. We left Bradenton Beach at 10 a.m., getting to the Orlando area around noon. We found a Chili's restaurant and ate, then went to Sandy's appointment for her annual physical. Her blood pressure read a few points higher than usual due to the salty chicken in her salad at lunch, no surprise, but otherwise no issues. Dr. Keller also did her gyne exam and pap smear, so no need to see Steiner in Philly ... another "final" switch to NSB !
Today she'll have another switch, with an eye appointment here in NSB. That might, just might, mark the end our our routine dealings with the eye doctor in Mississauga. I've got to setup my own appointment, have not had my eyes checked in two years. One thing at a time ... I'm seeing the dermatologist for a bi-annual in April. I have to setup my own appointment with Keller (physical), arrange for the usual blood tests, see the eye doctor ... get yet another routine DRE ... sigh.
We didn't have anything around to eat in the way of fresh meat/fish/etc. so we did our own thing at dinner. I mixed up some frozen peas, raman noodles, salmon + salad. Sandy made herself some scrambled eggs.
Even though it's not a long drive, travel and visiting still tires you out. You break from your normal routine, eat different foods, go to bed at different times, you know the drill.
Anyway ... I'm heading for the gym in a minute and biking later today.
Onward !
