Mar 29 - more deliveries

It's interesting that I would know that a delivery has taken place by seeing an email on my cell phone before I saw it at the door ! That was the delivery from nuts.com of tahini, poppy seeds and sesame seeds. Later in the day some gels were delivered, from performancebike.com.

The labeling on the jar of Tahini was unique:

-- employee owned
-- organic
-- USDA organic
-- certified fair labor
-- product of USA
-- gluten free
-- vegan
-- kosher
-- sodium free
-- unsweetened, no sugar

Ingredients ? just sesame seeds.

I was also expecting some car parts yesterday, but since I'm probably not going to touch them until after the Easter weekend, no matter.

I cooked a half-ham yesterday and Sandy made scalloped potatoes using her new mandolin. Of course that meal wouldn't be the same without home-made coleslaw ... so we had that too ! We're now stocked up with luncheon meat.

I made two loaves of bread yesterday. One of those loaves has sunflower, flax, poppy and sesame seeds in it :). The other is plain white, albeit with a lumpy top. I forgot that I was using 3 cups of flour and only used one cup of water. It did ride although not quite as high as before. Interesting. I could probably stick with 1.25 cups of water rather than 1.5.

Jeffrey, Sara and Emma went to the SYC pool for a while but then it clouded over. Of course they did go late in the day. I went out in the little Whaler with Abby and then stopped at the club and gave Emma a ride home, beating the car, naturally, since we take a shorter cut.

Mid-day I did a shopping run, picking up some of the concrete protective rings for in-ground sprinklers, some more sprinkler heads, 5w30 at the new Walmart and sundry food items at Publix.

Jeffrey and Sara went out after dinner for the second night in a row, catching a movie at the theater at the intersection of 6th and US 1, which is only a half-mile away. Apparently, based on what I read on Facebook, they're going to do the same tonight and tomorrow night, making it a four night string ! Of course I'll be early to bed tonight, earlier than usual even, and won't be home tomorrow night, since I'll be doing that 600k.

The weather forecast still shows the potential of thunderstorms tomorrow but not on Sunday ... who knows. I'll be prepared for anything from extreme heat to hail and everything in between.

I think that's it ...

Onward !
