No rain, new wheel and new cassette worked well, wind behaved itself -- what more could I want ... nothing. The sun peeked out a few times but in general the cloud cover was pretty heavy. I wasn't sure if I'd make it back without getting drenched but in fact the drenching didn't happen until sometime early this a.m. before dawn.
Of course the rain hit here at the same time as the sprinkler was on ... that figures !
The 11-34 cassette has some larger steps which left me at times wishing that I had an intermediate cog, compared to my 12-32, but I eventually got used to it. Here's something interesting -- I posted 4:59 for the Populaire two days ago and 4:11 yesterday ... why ? Well, that would be fixing three flats ! It doesn't actually take that long to fix a flat but somehow it slows you down more than the sheer time to repair.
Otherwise yesterday was pretty uneventful.
We had tuna for dinner along with sweet potato and some different types of squash on the barbie. Sandy took her walk into town with Abby to pickup shrimp at the market; Abby got lots of attention from everyone -- which is why she likes these walks.
Oh -- today, depending on the weather, we'll go boating. I'll make a call on that after I get back from Mass.
That's it ... I think ... Onward !
