Jan 16 - Whistler Day 8 of 8

We called it a day around 1pm.  I know, that's early for me.  My shoulder was bothering me ... hopefully some rest will help ?  We'll see.

The skiing was beautiful, again.  We were about to go in, adjust our boots and have a coffee before our first run and they were chasing people out of the Roundhouse.  They'd had a brief power failure which triggered the fire alarms because the cooking power vents stopped working.  The alarms only lasted a few minutes but the power still wasn't on so we decided to head to the Peak Chair and over to the Symphony Express.  We had some great runs on Jeff's Ode to Joy and then went back to the Roundhouse for lunch at 11am.

Skiing over, we organized and packed.  Some stuff is already in the car.  Before we went skiing, I had called Westjet and asked about getting on an earlier flight.  The change fee was quite high but the fellow said that if you just show up and change, the fee is nominal.  That's what we're going to do; hopefully the flights are as empty as he said.  We'll see.

BBQ Bob's was the chosen venue for dinner.  It's at the restaurant nearby that used to be called Hoz's.  He's won all sorts of awards with ribbons all over the walls.  I'm assuming that he's move here from somewhere else, perhaps Vancouver.  It was excellent -- Sandy had the pulled pork and I had a jerk chicken burger.

We're up early ... don't know what flight we'll catch but we'll give it a shot.

Onward !
