Feb 10 - moving the wind inside

On Saturday I dealt with the wind outside; on Sunday I dealt with the wind inside, installing three fans.

Yes, the den/loft and the front bedroom now have new fans.  One of the loft fans hummed so loudly (to me) that I couldn't stand to have it on.  The front bedroom fan was a) damaged when the kitchen went out and b) didn't match the new decor.  I'll also replace the fans in the middle and river bedrooms, but not now.

Actually ... I'll eventually replace ALL the fans.

The one "good" fan, hanging over me at the desk, was supported only by the decorative cover.  Sigh.  The other two were well done.

It's unbelievable, except for someone who has done this before, how much time it takes.  Even when you're practically doing it as an assembly line, it takes a lot of time.  Thankfully I wasn't doing it at the top of a ladder, like those fans up north !

By 4pm I'd had enough of fans and moved to caulking, finishing up the baseboard in the loft.  It's still a disaster up here but at least we can now start moving the furniture back into place.

Sandy did some more running around, getting some beside-the-bed rugs for the bedrooms and doing some work on the garden.  Oh yes, I picked up all the banana fronds that I'd cut and got them organized for yard trash day (today, Monday).  There's lots to go out.

What else ... not much.  As usual, we had shrimp, our normal Sunday or Monday meal after Sandy picks them up at the market on Saturday.  She warmed up some leftover rice and sauteed some spinach, so my only role was eating :).

Today -- my first physio appointment.  That should be interesting.  I may go riding or, more likely, will leave that for tomorrow.

Jason is supposed to leave Brantford today, heading south.  I haven't heard from him lately though, so don't know for sure if that's still the plan.

Onward !
