Since I wrote the last blog around noon, this one has to be shorter, right ?
Probably.
I went to Home Depot, expecting to pick up a sander -- out of stock -- and metal grille for the side of the IKEA shelving. I went to the cash with the 3'x3' metal piece and realized when I got there that it wasn't black, it was antique bronze in the right light. So ... I pondered a wood finish and picked up some 1/8" birch plywood that I'm going to cut and insert between the uprights. Looking at it now, I could have just as well gotten 1/4" as it might have been easier to work with, but I'll give this a go.
I fussed around on the computer, as usual. We had an early dinner at the SYC, since we hadn't used up our monthly allotment yet, and came back home to watch the Oscars. I'd set the DVR before we left because Sandy likes to watch the Red Carpet stuff; I watched that and the first half-hour of the big show and then turned in. I think that Sandy stayed up for the entire thing.
This a.m. I've got physio at 8am and then we're taking the car in for service; we'll be a one-car-couple for a few days.
That's about it. There was no rain here and no rain on the Daytona 500 but there was south and west of us.
Onward ...
