and a little of that ...
Sandy had a busy day in and out, getting her hair done and working on the garden. They're both looking pretty good ! This is Sandy's second cut in a week. She didn't like the first version, and I had to agree. She researched prior cuts looking through our pictures and took her ipad to the hair dresser. Isn't modern technology wonderful ?!?
I, on the other hand, seemed to while away the day.
I did paint the couple of pieces of baseboard and the quarter-round, so I have no excuse now for not moving forward and doing some finishing work in the den. Sandy also helped me position the carpet in the den - not in its final resting place but at least under the desk.
Oh yes, I did put up the hang-bar and shelf in the front room closet, so that's done. That took some time. I now have doorknobs to install on said closet and the door pull / latch for the bedroom door. That's fiddly stuff. Kim Davies might have to live without next week ... we'll see.
I found out late Tuesday that we were supposed to complete "club affiliation forms" for the Ontario Cycling Association (OCA) as part of my Treasurer duties. That took a surprising amount of the day yesterday, completing the forms and assembling the attachments (forms, incorporation documents, risk management plan, ride schedule) to remit to the OCA. This morning I woke up to an email from Dick Felton with forms from the insurance broker for Directors and Officers insurance. We've had this through the OCA before and no-one told us that we'd be re-applying. Great. I'll get that underway too. Jim picked a good year to transition away from Treasurer !
Oh well, the good news is that since all this stuff is being re-done, the historical paper files that Jim has won't be of much use or need.
Today ... workout with John first thing and then I'm biking.
Tomorrow ... boating ? off to Boca Raton ?
Saturday ... 300k out of Boca.
Onward ...
