Mar 31 - a family Easter

We had a good crowd for Easter this year with Jeffrey, Sara, Emma and Zoe + Carol and Allister.  Unfortunately Sara was a bit under the weather with bronchitis but she and Jeffrey went to an Urgent Care clinic -- the second visit this trip (previous one for Emma) and got a prescription.

Allister and Carol stayed behind while we went to the SYC for the Easter Egg hunt.  Emma got a good haul.  I'll post some pictures later.   I've been a bit slow at that !

Sandy cooked a ham with scalloped potatoes, beans and coleslaw.  Other than the ham, we polished it off.  I now have LOTS of ham for sandwiches.  Sandy made a flan, which everyone enjoyed -- other than Emma and me, of course.  My desert was the small dish of leftover coleslaw which didn't become leftover !

With Allister, Carol and Jeffrey helping, we also made a substantial dent in a bottle of port.  In fact, if the metaphor is a car, it was a major accident, but not totaled !  I enjoy the port and sherry that I get from the Opimian Society but opening up a bottle by myself doesn't work very well - it lasts too long.

Carol and Allister got away at 6:30 this morning; Sandy has gone back to bed.

Today the plan is to go boating, but that will depend on how everyone is feeling and whether the predicted thunderstorms hold off.

Onward !
