Jul 27 - lots of people

I'm surprised by how many people I was able to link up with at the start.  That's the advantage of getting there early, I guess.

There were more, don't remember at the moment.

Terry & Jo & Liz came with me in the Vauxhaul hatchback (Terry and Liz in facing the hatch) to Peter and Dave's hotel so that Peter could fix up the GPS that Liz had borrowed from John Maccio.  The backseat was mostly filled with my bike box, which is why they were in the hatch.

We had lunch at the pub along with the obligatory suds.

It's 2:30 now; I've got Mass at 6pm; dinner with Ed Person at 7pm (never met Ed before but we've exchanged emails); Hamid and Shab are supposed to join too.  I'm assuming at this point that I'll be meeting Hamid at the start, because he still has his bike.

More ?  later ... this is one day that is going to fly by !

Up again.  Looking at the time, it doesn't seem so bad.  11:04 ... whoops, that's EDT !  It's 4:04 GDT.

I went to Mass at 6pm; had dinner with Ed Person at my hotel after that.  Hamid's plans were changing every five minutes so he and his gang ate at his hotel.

I'll be leaving here in about 45 minutes.  Lots to do in the meantime !

Onward  ... Edinburgh-ward!
