Aug 12 - almost

With the pre-ride over, the fun begins.

Sandy and I went into Sudbury and I spent about $500 at Costco and $100 at another grocery store -- Granite Anvil supplies.  That's not the end of the shopping either, but I'll bring this load of stuff down to Oshawa on Wednesday to leave at the College.

I also bought a SPOT.  When it's on, it broadcasts my location every 10 minutes so that anyone following me can see where I am.  This is mostly for Sandy but it's a fun thing.  SPOT

All I did yesterday was register the device and shortly afterwards, turned it off.  Today I'll turn it on and make a trip into Loring, so that should show that trip. 

It also has message and SOS features.  The messages must be pre-programmed, i.e. I cannot text from the device, per se.

Jerry arrived around 6:30 p.m. yesterday but we didn't eat until after 9pm since I had a Granite Anvil conference call.  We've got another one today with the volunteers -- we'll eat before the call this time !

I've got packing to do today since we leave tomorrow for Oshawa.  I also need to go into town for gas, mail, food ...
