I went into Britt for Mass, which was a slow trip. I left 15 minutes early and got there 10 minutes late. I considered turning back but figured that since I was already on the way, I might as well continue. I'd be forgiven for being late. They were plowing 522 as I drove west, replowing as I drove back east and 69 was getting constant attention, bare but quite slick. Osprey Road was OK with snow tires and 4-wheel drive. By the time it's light this morning, it will have been plowed. I checked on that at end of day yesterday.
I'd cleared the driveway before heading to Mass but it will need more work this morning. Between the snowing and the blowing, it was re-filling pretty quickly. We did well compared to Southern Ontario though -- no ice storm here, just snow ! I saw pictures on Facebook of the mess at Scott's and Steve's.
It was blowing so hard out on the ice that we deferred getting the Christmas tree. This morning it's colder but probably less windy, however we'll likely go into Sudbury and get the shopping over with. At this rate Christmas Day will be our decorate-the-tree day. Well, it should be fresh for family anyway !
Right now it's 70 in NSB and 1 here. Hmmm. I think that we missed the boat this year, should have had Christmas in Florida ! One of these years it will happen.
Otherwise nothing. The internet service has been great (knock on wood) so that new cable has helped. That said, the IFL (Inter Facilities Link) still shows a problem when it's this cold. When it gets closer to freezing, I get a reading, but not now. I wonder if that's an issue with the dish itself or the cable ? I'm guessing the dish but no matter, it works. The signal has stayed very strong.
What else ? Nothing much. I watched some Netflix, did a little puttering, brought in wood, which is an everyday thing.
We had the second pike for dinner; time to catch some more !
Onward !
