Jun 26 - to London

Like clockwork.  Drive to Heathrow, turn in car, take van to hotel.  In fact, we were too early.  We got our luggage into the hotel and then walked for a bit, coming back to have lunch and finally get into our rooms.

The Hand and Flower is a pub, a happening place, a booming business.  Their B&B rooms are upstairs, way upstairs, no lift.  Ugh.  We got up there and then went to the launderette, hopefully for the last time.  My major cleaning was my biking clothes ... I'm now ready for the second ride.

Yes, my clothes are ready for the second ride.  I'm not sure about me !

We had dinner with Maria and Phil Burfitt.  They got to the pub at 6pm and we ate practically next door in an Indian restaurant.  The food was good; Sheryl and Maria are more into less spicy but they managed.  The place wasn't licensed so we brought our own wine.   That made the overall price more reasonable as well.

There's more, but I'm out of time ... we're off to somewhere ...

Onward!
