Our flight got in on time but the jetway wasn't working. The pilot made some reference to Gate 51 "again" so I'm guessing that this wasn't the first time. They had to bring out an "engineer" to get the jetway to the plane and then we were able to de-board. That, i.e. the jetway, took a half-hour.
We were at the back of the bus so it seemed that it was another half-hour before we were out. No matter, I thought, all this gives our luggage time to get out. Sure enough, when we got to the Arrivals area, luggage was already coming out ... but not ours.
We waited. People drifted off with their luggage. We waited. We were one of the first ones to check in for the flight so perhaps ours will be last off ? Yup. A few more pieces, ours included, and the down-conveyor stopped. Yikes. The bike came off at the oversized conveyer ... we were off.
Michael was there to meet us; Jim had given him a call. Traffic was slow getting out of Montreal, as usual, but we were soon back at S&J's. After getting some things squared away, we went to Sheila & Marvin's to be greeted by Abby. Sandy-doggie was confused. At her age we were gone too long.
We visited for a while and then headed back; had some dinner at Burger Bob's; turned in before 9pm (Sandy, Abby and Me). I'm not sure about J&S. I managed to sleep, on and off, until after 4am but then got up because I could feel a coffee-deprived head coming on.
This morning we'll get organized again and head to Camp to see Carol and Alister. Tomorrow we'll head to the Cottage, perhaps via Oakville to pick up Sandy's car. We'll need to do some basic grocery shopping on the way north as well.
Onward ...
