Another rainy day up north. I took three snow tires to Arnstein and picked the fourth which is now in Sandy's car as her spare. At some point I'll take the other 7 wheels, maybe I'll use Jim's trailer and do it all at once ... but probably not worth the effort. I can take three or four at a time anyway and take them in while I pick up the mail. There's no rush.
On the way into Arnstein a funny symbol popped up which I checked out and it said "engine malfunction producing adverse emissions results" or something to that effect. I tried using the OBD tool to reset but it didn't seem to do anything. When I did some research on this back at the cottage, it's not unusual and part of the solution seemed to be doing a reset and then driving a certain number of highway miles. Well, I'm happy to report that the symbol stayed all the way to Stef's and then was gone when I restarted the car to head to Markham.
I was at Stef's to drop off stuff for Kylie and to inspect :) their hardwood installation. It's going well and it looks great.
I'm in a hotel in Markham for a 600k that starts tomorrow, 6 a.m. The weather looks so-so, likely some drizzle on Saturday, perhaps significant rain, then sunny and hot on Sunday.
Kim and Megan headed to Edmonton today. It's not really a blog topic, per se, but David and Kim decided to split. It's been a long time coming and probably best for the two of them but it's sad to see. We hope to see Kim and Megan again; Florida would be the likely spot, getting away from the Edmonton winters ? They have a deal on the Barrie house that closes mid September.
I had to say something, rather than remaining silent. Most everyone close to them who reads the blog (translate that as "family") knows what's happening anyway.
Life goes on.
