Aug 7/8 - somehow I missed one

What happened yesterday ?  Obviously it flew by. 

I did some painting -- the posts and knee braces at the front of the deck. 

I must have done more than that ?  Somehow the kids take so much time ! 

Megan and Lauren arrived; met them at 522 & 69; Aaron on his way to Sudbury.

They all ran around here like crazy fools, squealing like only girls can.  Zoe wanted to play with the big girls, so she was frustrated at times.  I went into town and got some milk; only found 1% not 0%, but that will have to do.  There was only a little mail.

Surely I did more ... I guess that it took a couple of hours to do the painting and that accounts for the middle of the day.

Today, Friday, has been really busy.  I ran around early on looking for a youth-sized life jacket since we only had adult and child jackets.  Lauren needed something in between.  I phoned Jason - no answer; Jim - he wasn't sure but told me where to check; Stan -- thought that he had some so I went over there -- nope; came home because I had to head to the Roads Board Meeting but then decided to check next door (Jason) basement before digging into Jim's shed and lo and behold, yes.

Then I went to the Roads Board Meeting.  We had a good crowd -- 27 -- compared to some years with a dozen.  It went well except that I was re-elected (just kidding).  I met with Lewis and Dean re Lewis's water runoff problem and Dean will take it up the chain.  I've done my duty.

I stopped by to see Ross, Ernie and Wayne to let them know that blasting is supposed to start in the next couple of weeks.  I talked to wives of the first two; no answer at Wayne's.  I also have to talk to him about the buildup of brush at the turnaround, which I believe is his.  I'll catch him in the next couple of days.

I set the minnow traps; caught a bunch late in the day; took the girls to Lost Channel for ice cream; painted the gazebo ... yes, it was another busy day.

I hear that Stef might be coming tomorrow and staying the night, taking the girls home on Sunday.  That's great.  The weather is certainly conducive.  Somewhere in there I need a bike ride, Mass, fishing with the girls, ... on and on.
