I'm not sure if I've ever driven some of this route at this time of day. Usually it's late and I'm tired.
We didn't hurry out of our overnight; we only had five or so hours of driving ahead of us. We stopped once at the service center on the PA Turnpike and arrived in Reading around 1:30. At first we thought that Sara was out, since there was no car in the driveway, but it turned out that the car was parked elsewhere in the neighborhood since they'd performed a sealing treatment on all the pavement.
We unhooked the trailer and unloaded the car completely because on Sunday we go into New York. Going over to Giant, we both picked up a salad and then returned to eat a late lunch. I kept the driveway parking spot; Jeffrey used a visitor spot.
It was quiet in the house; Matthew and Zoe were sleeping. That lasted for a little while and then the fun began :).
Once Emma was home, she wanted to play a board game. I agreed and we played a take-off on snakes and ladders (now chutes and ladders) based on the movie Frozen.
We had pizza for dinner; it's been a long time since I've had pizza -- oh yes, just before the Natchez Trace ride.
Nothing planned for today. If the trailer wasn't so jam-packed, I might go for a bike ride. It would take more time to get at everything than to actually go for a ride ... not really, but the weather is turning crummy anyway. Yesterday was sunny with a high of 71; today the high is mid 60's; tomorrow for New York, mid 50's. Time for Florida for sure !
Onward !
