Have you ever noticed that some of your tabs and some of your bookmark bar items have icons and some don't ? I was curious about this and found that you need the html code to load a file called favicon.ico from the root of the website.
Naturally there's more to it than that as that file has to be to a certain standard for your browser to deal with it properly. It has to be a bmp 16x16 pixels.
Now when you access my website www.wdthompson.com you'll see an icon and of course I did that for the Sunshine 1200k as well. It was an easy pick for the bike ride, since we have a logo. It was pretty easy for the family website as well ... you'll now see a little Abby head :).
I got two good-sized pike yesterday but let the smaller one go. Sandy is already telling me that I'm catching too many fish. Life is tough. Too few, too many, there's no happy medium.
Donnie is up and was out fishing. He caught a pike for dinner as well; not sure if he caught anything else. He's supposedly meeting with Hydro One this morning to discuss a $3,000 bill that they received since their meter hasn't been read for three years. I'm not sure about the amount or the duration as those things can get rounded upwards in discussions ...
Claudia isn't up. Don said that she's dealing with Isaac's girlfriend, something about getting her to move out of his place. I didn't catch the details but Isaac is in Thorold, I guess, if I have the name and spelling correct. They may or may not be up for New Year's but I'm betting no, at this point.
David got out his skates and was up and down the lake, shooting an orange puck. The ice is in beautiful shape, probably the best that we've seen it since Sandy and I were up at New Years Eve in 1979. Whew, that's a long time ago ! 35 years !
Here's a couple of pictures from way back when ...
Guess what, I still have that coat and those boots of Sandy's are on the shelf in the bedroom downstairs. Now that I look at these pictures, the ice is better now than it was then.
There was a gang in at Brooks or that vicinity because we could see a half-dozen skaters out on the ice. I'll have to check today and see who is in, might have been at Jim & Bonnie's, which is what we'll call their place forever, I expect.
As predicted, the temperature has dropped. It's showing 10F/-12C this morning and expected to go down to -4F/-20C tonight. Brr.
It's dinner time and I forgot to post this morning ! Oh well ... !!!!
