Dec 7 - a do-nothing day

That pretty much sums it up.  I could have gone biking, but it was windy, cloudy, somewhat-but-not-quite drizzly (looked like it could drizzle but never quite did).

I guess the main event was installing the snow tires.  That was a bear.  Each wheel weighs in excess of 70 pounds.  Lifting isn't a problem but positioning that horizontally was at or over my limit.  These cars don't have studs, so it's not a matter of hanging the wheel on the protruding studs.  There's a tiny inner lip at the center so you have to get it up there, hold it, rotate to get the holes line up and then get one of the bolts in place.  After that it's easy ... ha.

When I finished I was quite thankful that I was doing this in Florida warmth.  Usually I'm exchanging wheels in the barn in the cold.

Anyway, that's been completed; we're ready for the Great White North.  The all-season's are now stacked in the garage, taking a lot of space.  Once I swap them back, I'll probably put the snow tires in the little trailer to get them out of the way.  They'll stay in the garage once we head north for the summer.

Harris and Debbie were trying to get us together with Chet and Jean but had to cancel because Debbie was feeling under the weather.  Chet heads off to Atlanta this morning (Monday) so we won't see him until we get back in January.

I finished up the available seasons on Netflix of Doctor Who a couple of days ago.  The current season isn't available.  I've started to watch "Blacklist", with James Spader, which is mildly entertaining.  I have a bunch of movies in my hitlist; perhaps I'll get to them at some point.

Onward ?
