Sounds better than addendum ...
When driving back from Gainesville, I got the "engine malfunction" message that Sandy and Sara had on the way to the airport. On more checking, I find that this is usually a "limp home" message coupled with much reduced power. In this case, however, there was no reduced power, just the message. Like Sandy experienced, it happened twice -- actually that's because I didn't hit iDrive to "ok" the message. I'm sure that it was the same with her.
I used the code reader and there were a couple of misfires. I'm assuming that's all it was at this point and will ignore unless it really starts limping :). I will have the car checked over before we go north if nothing transpires before then.
Also driving back from Gainesville, I got the "999 more miles" message due to low DEF. I figured that was coming soon. Yesterday I bought two 2.5 gallon containers and put about 4.5 gallons into the tank before it was full. Starting up the car, the message was still there but disappeared after a minute because by that point the pump had topped up the "active" tank from the "reserve" tank.
In TV-land, I'm working my way through Fringe on Netflix, have finished season one on The Blacklist and we just started into the second ten seasons of Law and Order. We watched the first eight seasons on Netflix and then I purchased seasons 9 and 10 for about $15 each (pretty cheap entertainment at about $3 per DVD) but the price per season for 11-20 was much higher. It was cheaper to buy the box set of all 20 seasons than to individually purchase 10 seasons ... comes to about $20 per season. If we ever get through this, I'll sell the box set.
Notice "I'm watching Fringe and Blacklist" ... she, on the other hand, watches Downton Abby and The Good Wife.
I bought this box set new but many used were going for the same price. Notations from sellers were along the lines of ... "watched x seasons on Netflix, those DVD's haven't been opened ... yup, that's the way mine will be !
