Feb 17 - trimming

Chet and I went out early again trimming mangroves.  I got the little Whaler running, basically to flush the engine and picked up some fresh gas.  It was low tide later, however, so I couldn't take Abby out ... and then the rain hit us and that was the end of that !

In the meantime, I did get out on the Harley, riding part-way on Merritt Island before turning back.  I got home just before the rain hit. The Harley was happy for the run.  I could tell.

Sandy went to Costco and picked up a few things.

Shortly after 8am Clint, the fellow from the hurricane shutter place, showed up and we talked about the wing-nut attached shutters on the two sliders.  I want to replace those with accordion style.  He gave me a quote; I gave him a deposit ... we're good to go, sometime in March. We also talked about the roll down style but those are twice the price; not in this lifetime :).

... and another day was done.  We caught up with Doris Guymon, who has had some good news from her chemo treatments and will be having a scan later this week to judge progress.  We're keeping our fingers, toes, legs, arms and eyes crossed on that one.

Onward !
