Mar 16 - lots to do

Fast and furious, emails are coming in with respect to the Sunshine 1200k.  I'm finalizing hotel rooms, jersey orders, you-name-it.  I'm still chasing a few people with regard to their money ... last time I'll do it this way !

I talked to our insurance agency; Sandy talked to the insurance company; I took the car over for a repair estimate.  Yes, a little door-bender (as opposed to a fender bender), can really cost $2,750 to fix.  The door is a complete shell, not just an outer panel, and with paint and labor, that's the total.  Think 1/2 parts; 1/4 labor; 1/4 paint.  It would have been more had the window not worked, something that I hadn't even though about.

We drove to Sebastian to have dinner with Bruce and Bev, ending up the evening in a rather heated discussion about politics and religion.  Well, that was 2 against 1, because Sandy was just observing :).  Compared to them, I'm far left ... but I'm not really.  We do agree that the country and world have many problems that need fixing but we're working from different sets of "facts".  I really wish that we knew the real facts, not the distorted ones -- that's on both sides.

Shortly before leaving, I called and left an email for TiCycles regarding the parts on order ... where are they ?  Within 5 minutes after sending the email, Abby started barking and it was FedEx.  I can now start assembly !

This isn't even all the parts.  I've got another rack and fenders.  Soon this will start to take shape.

Today the shutter man is supposed to come, but I don't have confirmation on that.

Onward !
