Mar 19 - not much happening

I didn't really tinker with the new bike yesterday, still awaiting the compression plug and inline adjusters.  I might today.

I did go for a bike ride, south again, hot and not too windy made for a great ride.

Before riding I spent quite a bit of time working out the fleche route, controls and stops.  That's about ready to submit to Paul.

That's about it ... ho hum.

I forgot to mention that Abby has been losing weight.  I could tell because I could feel her bones along her back.  Sandy took her for a weigh-in and sure enough, she was down 6 pounds to 58.something.  She'd been running over 65 at one point.

So Sandy took her in for a full physical, thyroid check etc. and the good news is that a) she was up a pound (I'd increased her food) and b) she's in excellent health, all markers good.

From a puppy, she'd been fed 1.5 cups of food in the morning and .5 cups at night.  When she'd started gaining weight with the thyroid problem, that was cut back to 1 + .5.  We'd kept it at that until last week; her weight had been stable.  Now it appears that she needs more food to maintain a weight between 60 and 65, what we feel is her best range.  So a bonus for Abby -- more food !  If she continues to gain, I'll have to moderate that measure a bit.

Weight control for humans would be so much easier if we didn't control it ourselves, when you think of it !

Onward !
