Up at 8:30 after my 300k odyssey, I was off again before 10am heading to Britt for Mass. Back, as expected, a little after 11:30, I had lunch and then undertook a car project that was awaiting.
The X5 needed new brake pads, front and rear and tires rotated, so that consumed most of the rest of the day. The hardest part of that job is getting the darn rims back on the 3/16" hub to put in the bolts. The BMW setup is such that the bolts pass through the rims and through the rotors (which are held in place by a small set screw), holding everything in place. There are no bolts protruding from the rotors to hang your rims on. My rotator cuff problem doesn't make this any easier.
I still have to finish up this morning. I need to reset the service indicators and fix the air pressure in the tires as the setup normally has higher pressure in the back so the active tire pressure monitor is complaining.
I believe that Sandy is going to head out and meet Stef, Aaron and Lauren in Honey Harbour and bring Lauren back who will be staying with us for the week. She wanted some time here before the gang arrives.
The current plan has Jeffrey probably arriving late Saturday; Stef arriving Saturday; David somewhere in there. Stef plans to leave on Tuesday and I believe that Lauren will stay. David, I believe, will stay for the week as well. Jeffrey is planning on heading out Friday, staying at or near Stef, taking in Canada's Wonderland on Saturday and heading home on Sunday. At least that's the plan. At least that's what I understand. Chase won't be coming, unfortunately.
Given that schedule, I will probably do a ride on the long weekend. I have a choice of four -- 1000 out of Mississauga on Saturday/Sunday/Monday; 300k out of Bancroft on Saturday; 200k out of Goderich on Saturday; 200k out of Bancroft on Sunday. There's also the possibility of a 200k out of Grimsby on Sunday the 9th. That's dicey because we'll probably leave here on the 10th for Hemmingford. It's too bad that ride isn't on Saturday the 8th.
Onward ?
