Sep 12 - addendum - what about Dave ?

So how did I feel ?  Not too bad.  My legs felt good to start, but of course they'd had almost a month off the bike.  Right now the tendons feel a little stretched across the backs of my legs -- too much sitting followed by exercise.

My stomach behaved itself, until after dinner at which point I had another brief bout of diarrhea, but that seems to be finished.  I had a big dinner with an antipasto starter and lamb shank.  Dick wondered what happened to the rest of these lamb, since we see a lot of shank and chops.  There's not a lot to a lamb ...

I carried my heavy jacket, but never used it.  Wool jersey and arm warmers plus PBP vest did the job.  I took off the vest at Honey Harbour, the 91km mark.  At times I was overly warm with the arm warmers but not worth taking them off.

This worked out.  I worried that I might "overrun my stomach" but that didn't happen.  I carried a bunch of tissue in my bag in case I'd have to make some unscheduled stops, but that didn't happen either.

It was good to get some exercise.  I don't do a heck of a lot more riding between now and when we head to Florida as the days will get more and more dicey.  That said, we have a great week ahead of us.
