4:35 pm on the 18th. The day is still underway.
I went to the usual Catholic Church that's a couple of miles from Jeffrey's. I always have to look it up for the address and mass time; such is old age or such is a once-every-six-months cycle. I stopped at Giant on the way back and picked up some olive snacking mixture and of course I was back there at noon for my lunch salad. Leaving Giant, Sandy was calling because she wanted her scarf as she was on the way to Emma's game -- Emma was cheerleading at the football game.
It's funny to see those little kids playing football. When I was a kid, football was unknown before high school, but then I grew up in Canada. Anyway, I opted to meet them there and sat and froze with Sandy and Sara. Emma wasn't very warm either ... of course the snow didn't help either !
Yes, we got snow. It didn't last long and didn't accumulate, but it was an EVENT all the same.
Now back at Jeffrey's, the girls have been playing catch etc. with Sandy, tossing plush bears and dogs. I took some pictures and a video; will have to put some up for perusal.
We'll leave tomorrow a.m. after the kids (Emma and Zoe) are off to school. Zoe goes three mornings a week; Emma is of course full time and takes the bus.

Sara took advantage of us being here and got some time to herself, going out shopping. Jeffrey fixed dinner; a couple of grilled steaks, a pasta mixture and lima beans. All three kids seem to be coming down with something and weren't very hungry -- actually that's not quite true as Emma eventually ate most of hers. She never eats much dinner as she's very particular about her food (an understatement !). French Toast, on the other hand, is always a hit.
I continued to read Waterlogged; more on that later.
Another day was done. We'll hit the road shortly after the kids head off to school; destination Brantford. It's 29F out there right now but it will be warmer once the sun is up.
Onward !
