Dec 26 - catching an edge

Overnight we caught the edge of a snow storm and we now have a couple of inches on the ground which will probably settle to about an inch.  Oh well, it's white. 

As for the temperature, it's 31F and with that little bit of snow, not cold enough for ice on the lake and if it had been, we'd have slush !  Oh well ...

From the Doppler, it looks like we're about through with snow.  With it being warm, salt will simply make the roads wet.

Sandy, Cassie and I headed into Sudbury getting to Home Depot, Costco, Canadian Tire, Sears, Walmart and YIG ... Your Independent Grocer aka The Independent Store.  We brought a car full of groceries home along with snow boots for the kiddies.

I don't know if it was carrying some of that down or perhaps lifting Cassie over the gate or putting wood on the fire, but right now my back is killing me.   There is no comfortable position, not sitting, not standing, not lying down any which way.  I took a couple of Advil, very unusual for me, but that's not making a dent in this.  I need Dr. Wendy in Florida (the chiro) perhaps she would be able to at least tell me what's going on.  Another oh well ...

David arrived in time for dinner and Cassie went crazy.  Off !  Off !  Off !  She was as bad as when Marda was with us, couldn't seem to get the message.  Great.  Today Jeffrey & Sara & Emma & Zoe & Matthew arrive .... what will Cassie be like then ?  They aren't leaving until early this morning so we're not really expecting them for dinner; we'll have a better ETA once they are well on the road. 

She's really gotten used to her crate in my den.  When I did lift her over the gate at 8:45 or so, she ran into the den, knowing it was that time, happily crashing.  I watched TV for a bit, as usual.  This morning she'll be running crazy in the new snow.  We'll definitely need that orange ball to play fetch !

I hope that my back settles down soon ...
