Stef, Aaron and Mya arrived mid morning and stayed for the day. Mya and Cassie played and played and played ... I'm sure that Mya was as tired as Cassie as they headed home. David left at the same time, but not as easily. Let's say that he's now convinced that he needs snow tires ... as I used the traction pads to inch him up the driveway. Hopefully Jeffrey's exit won't be as troublesome.
While Stef was here the kids had a last hurrah, sledding out the side yard. Everyone was outside but Sandy. She, Sandy that is, did get some washing started and Sara did the same.
Once some of the gang had left, Jeffrey and Sara started packing up stuff and the car is partly loaded. We had sausages, sweet potato fries and peas for dinner.
When everyone was here, we took a group family picture and some individual family pictures. Stef and Aaron opened their presents.
It's 5:30 a.m. now. Jeffrey and Sara are bustling around doing final packing. They intend to hit the road at 6am.
When I was up during the night, the temperature was 33F and it's now 29. I believe that it's supposed to drop over the course of the day -- deep freeze slightly delayed. We had a few flakes overnight and a few more are coming down now.
We had a good time. It's going to be awfully quiet here very soon ...
Happy New Year everyone, from our family to yours !
