Sandy worked with David on dates for his trip down; looks like he'll overlap with Sheryl by a couple of days and likewise Kim. With a little luck we'll have some good weather and I'll rent a motorcycle for him and we can do some cruising ... just an idea. Megan wants to do Universal so that might be on tap as well. Of course we'll try and get out in the Hydra Sport and I'm sure that David and Megan would be interested in fishing ... as usual time will fly by.
Paul opened the Cracker Swamp 1200k registration at 7pm and the emails came flooding in. He hit around 70, including pre-riders, sometime in the middle of the night. He's figuring a max of 80. Easily 10 or more of those will drop out over the course of the year but it looks like he'll end up with more than 50, which is good, but not 80, which in my opinion is too many to manage.
I went to Pep Boys and picked up a new battery for the M5. Those Group 49 Bosch AGM batteries are a) heavy and b) expensive. Even though the car starts right up, I've noticed that it's not quite as perky ... don't want to be caught with a dead battery. It's easily 5 years since I replaced that one so there was no point in doing any testing; I knew what the outcome would be.
After Sandy had lunch, we went to Peter's Wine Shop, now named 95 & Vine (he sold it) and picked up a couple of cases of wine. Most of that was white; Sandy was running low. I brought back a half-dozen different bottles to try and will buy more once I rate them. On the way back from Pep Boys, I stopped at ABC across from Home Depot and picked up a couple of bottles of Cotes du Rhone - same idea, taste and order. I tried one last night and it's a no-go. It tastes ok but it's very lightweight.
We took the long way back from the wine store and stopped at Kings Seafood, picking up Pompano and shrimp. We were supposed to have the Pompano for dinner last night but my stomach was off so that was postponed.
Cassie got a walk, of course, and she tripped around with us for wine and fish.
Anything else ? Not sure.
Onward ?!?
