Mar 10 - breaking the silence

It's not quite as quiet here anymore.  My coughing breaks the silence.

I don't know what it is about my immune system -- I must get 10 of these to Sandy's 1.  That's probably an exaggeration, but even so, when I do get a cold it is very heavy and drags on.  I literally go through  boxes of Kleenex in the one or two days when it's really in my sinuses.

I did ride yesterday, figuring that I couldn't feel any worse.  Well, I did feel worse.  Obviously the exercise isn't helping fight this thing off, or reduce its duration ... or not ... we'll never know.

Poor Cassie.  I'm not much fun when I'm like this !

Gene and Judy came over for a drink, snacks and a chat at the end of the day.  The three of them sat on one side of the deck; I was on the other.  Perhaps I should have used better deodorant ?

Hopefully this will be on the wane soon.  My throat and chest aren't as sore this morning, but that can vary depending on time of day so that's only one data point.   I won't ride today ... with some luck I'll be able to take Cassie out in the Skiff.

Onward ...
