We had a great time out on the water with Ched and Elaine on the 1st. The weather was beautiful. We cruised for a while out on the ocean, down to Flagler Ave then lingered at the beach; Cassie having a great run. Naturally we ate at Inlet Harbor (not bored yet) and came back up to the vicinity of the house before stowing the boat at the Marina. We then went to a spot on Flagler Ave, dry land, Clancy's, where we relaxed and had a cold drink. Cassie got a taste of restauranting in the outdoors.
Around 5pm they headed back to Daytona and we prepped as best we could, for new arrivals. The gang arrived just before 9pm and Jeffrey immediately started making Mac-n-cheese, as the kids hadn't eaten. Everyone had a late night.
Next day, Jeffrey and I took the three kids out on the Skiff, where they played in the water at the sandbar. Cassie again got lots of exercise. Back home, some playing in our cul-de-sac while Jeffrey and Sara got organized for a Disney trip; I sat out on the driveway to keep an eye on things.
Cassie and I left at 5:45 pm for her last class - she passed with flying colors - and I arrived home to find supper still awaiting Zoe down for bed. The kids had eaten, not so the adults.
Another day was done, really finished ! This morning four left for Disney and they'll stay overnight. Sandy has gone off to Walmart to pick up some Matthew-aged toys. Matthew went along as well. I'm home with Cassie ... but will be heading off on my bike soon. Before they left for Walmart, I took Matthew and Cassie for a walk, using the stroller of course.
Angelika has made plans to come down, overlapping a little with Marda, which is ok as they regularly see each other anyway. It's a new venue of course; they haven't met here before.
Onward ! The visit is going to fly by !
